A 19th century, French copper, salmon kettle. This is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams around the base and up both ends. It has the typical, French shape of brass handles and a rolled rim, and it dates from c.1860. As it no longer has a cover or a drainer it makes an ideal jardiniere and, due to the shape, sits well on a windowsill. It is in excellent condition.
Dimensions of pan: Length 57cm. Width 17cm. Height 11.5cm. Overall, including the handles: Length 61.5cm. Height 16.4cm.
