A good quality, 19th century, French copper, grain measure. This is very well made, from an exceptionally heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. The copper has been spun and this gives a smooth finish. It has hollow handles to either side and the banded decoration is designed to make it resemble a drum. This would make an excellent, large jardiniere or container for a small tree. It is in excellent condition.
