A small, French copper hanging pot. Although this was originally made for cooking over an open fire, it would make a lovely feature in a conservatory as a container for a trailing plant. It is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. It has castellated seams and the copper has a textured finish which gives an extra appeal. The folding copper handle, with brass fittings, is quite primitive in style and this would have been blacksmith made. It is in very good condition.
