An exceptionally heavy, 19th century copper bucket. This piece is French and it dates from c.1880. It has a folding handle to the top and a flat form handle to the side in order to help when pouring from it. This is needed due to the weight of the piece which is over six kilos. There is a castellated seam up the side of the bucket and the rim to the base and both handles are attached by copper rivets. There is some pitting to the copper, from use, but other than that it is in very good condition.
