A huge, 19th century, copper water carrier. This would have been for use as a household water carrier, for example for carrying water to the bath tub, rather than as a garden watering can. It is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and, with a capacity of about four gallons, when full it would be exceptionally heavy. It is English and it dates from c.1890. There are a few very minor dents, from use, but overall it is in very good condition.
