A lovely quality, 19th century, English copper jug. This piece is marked, to the base, with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams and it dates from c.1860. It is also stamped with the capacity '6PT'. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, it has a castellated seam up the side and it has a nicely shaped brass handle. There are a couple of very small dents, consistent with use, and the tinning, to the interior, is worn. Otherwise it is in very good condition.
