An unusual, large, 19th century copper fork. This would have been for general kitchen use. It is French and it dates from c.1870. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and has a shaped end with a curved hook so that it can hang when not in use. Originally it would probably have been tinned all over for use but the tin has now been removed, revealing the copper beneath.
It is in excellent condition.
