A large, and very heavy, 19th century copper mixing bowl. This is made from a very heavy gauge of copper, it has a wired rim, and there is a large bronze ring handle attached so that it can hang. Originally the interior of the bowl would have been tinned but this has now been removed, revealing the copper beneath. There are a couple of splits in the wired rim but other than that it is in good condition. It is French and dates from c.1850.
Dimensions: Diameter 37.6cm. Depth 11cm.
