A large, decorative, 19th century, French copper stockpot. This is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1860. It has nicely castellated seams, around the base and up the side, and there are attractively shaped, cast brass handles to both sides of the pot and also to the lid. The pot measures 34cm. diameter by 32cm. high. Overall, including the handles, it is 46.5cm. wide by 38cm. high. It is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn, so now it is purely for decorative purpose.
