A large, 19th century, French copper cider measure. This shape of measure was made in a number of sizes and they were made and used mainly in Normandy in Northern France. This large example is made from a heavy gauge of copper, which has a hammered finish, and it dates from c.1890. It is a very decorative shape which would look good filled with a large, floral arrangement or dried flowers. It is in excellent condition.
