A lovely quality, 19th century, French copper fish slice. This is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and it has a flattened, shaped hook to the end of the handle so that it can hang. It dates from c.1860 and it is in excellent condition. Originally it would have been totally covered in tin but this has now been removed to reveal the copper beneath.
