A super quality, early 19th century, copper, ale jug. This his made from a very heavy gauge of copper, has castellated seams and a thumb grip to the handle. It is a very attractive, bellied shape and there is a hinged flap over the spout.
English. Date c.1820
Condition: Minor denting to the hollow handle and slightly misshapen on the foot rim. The tinning, to the interior, is quite worn so it is no longer usable but it would make an excellent jug for flowers as it is still water tight.
