A very small, French copper, fish kettle. This would originally have been made for cooking something like a very small trout but now it is for decoration only as it is no longer suitable for cooking. It would make a lovely jardiniere for small pots of herbs on a kitchen windowsill. It is made from quite a substantial gauge of copper and it has a steel, folding handle. There are brased seams at either end. This is not a repair but it is the way the piece was made. It dates from c.1890 and it is in good condition.
