An unusual, 19th century, French copper funnel with an internal filter. This is made from quite a substantial gauge of copper and it dates from c.1860. The internal filter is removable and is held in place by two long steel rods. It has a wired rim and there is a small, steel loop attached for hanging. This could have been used in the wine making or bring industry. Originally it was tinned inside but the tinning is now very worn. It is in very good condition.
