An unusual, early 20th century, French, silver plated hatelet skewer with the ornate end in the shape of a cockerel. This is marked ‘FRANCE’ and it dates from c.1910. Although the cockerel is well detailed it is hollow, so the skewer is not such good quality as the earlier, 19th century examples. It is in very good condition.
