An unusual, 19th century, French, silver plated hatelet skewer with the ornate end in the shape of a wild boar. This is marked with an A and an I to either side of an anchor and it is also marked ‘BLANC.15’. These marks can be seen quite well in one of the images. It would have been used to ornament a game pie or a dish made with wild boar. It is well made, with very good detail, and it dates from c.1880. It is in excellent condition.
