A silver plated hatelet skewer in the shape of a pig. This has a makers mark which is very indistinct. It is very good quality, French and dates from c.1880. Hatelets were used for the ornamentation of food, both sweet and savoury, the pig most likely to be used with a pork dish. It is in excellent condition.
