A pair of French, silver plated hatelet skewers. Both of these have a small mark which looks like a series of three numbers but they are not legible. The decorative ends have a classical design which includes a face surrounded by a series of scrolls, stylised flowers and foliage. They date from c.1880.
Both of the skewers are very slightly bent but other than that they are in good condition.
