A good quality, 19th century copper mould with a Celtic knot design to the top. This mould is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and it has a central pipe, so that it would form a border and would cook the contents from the inside as well as the outside. The central pipe is unusual in that it is hexagonal. The mould doesn’t have any manufacturers marks but it is French and it dates from c.1870. The design displays particularly well when hanging.
The mould is in good condition, with just very minor denting to the top, and the tinning is in very good, bright, usable condition.
