An interesting, 19th century copper mould. The design of this mould is quite unusual with angular forms within arched top columns to the sides and a twisted design to the top. There was a split in the copper on the inner rim, and this now has a soldered repair. The side of the mould is engraved with a crown and some initials which are now quite worn and indistinct. It is English and dates from c.1870. Other than the one repair the condition is good.
