A  good quality, 19th century, copper jelly mould. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benham above the pattern number “456”. To the opposite side is a workman’s mark in the shape of a flour de lys. The design consists of two tiers, each with eight rounded topped columns. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1880. It is in excellent condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn.
