A good quality, Victorian, oval copper mould. This is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above the pattern number ’621’. To the opposite end is a workman’s mark in the shape of a fleur de lys. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. The design has six fluted columns with stylised flowers to the tops on hexagonal supports. The mould is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
