A good quality, Benham’s copper mould with the “Prince of Wales Feathers” design to the top. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above the pattern number “461”. It is made from quite a substantial gauge of copper and it dates from c.1890. The design is very deeply moulded and has excellent detail.
Condition: There is very minor denting, consistent with use, to the sides of the mould. This can be seen in the images. Other than that it is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn and slightly flakey, so it could not be used.
