A good quality, Victorian, oval copper mould with a wheatsheaf design to the top. This mould is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above the pattern number '70 A'. To the opposite end is a workman's mark in the shape of a fleur de lys. It dates from c.1870. It is well made, from quite a heavy gauge of copper, and there is excellent detail to the design. It is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
