A good quality, 19th century, French copper mould. This is stamped “L.TENDRERIE 60 R.DE L’ARCADE” and it dates from c.1870. To the opposite side are the engraved initials “D.R” above an asterisk and these would be the initials of a previous owner. The design is of two tiered, castellated form and the mould is made from a heavy gauge of copper. It has a central pipe so that, if used for baking, the contents cook from the centre as well as the outside, enabling it to cook through faster and more efficiently.
It is in excellent condition and the tinning, to the interior, is still in very good, usable condition.
Dimensions: Diameter 13.2cm. Height 11.4cm.
