An interesting, Victorian copper mould in the shape of a bird's nest. This mould is English. The design was made by Benhams but this example is not marked. It dates from c.1880 and it is good quality, being made from a substantial gauge of copper. It is in excellent condition. Originally it would have been tinned all over but the tinning on the outside has been removed to reveal the copper. There are still some traces of the tin left on the outside. The tinning to the interior is dark but it could still be used.
