A nice quality, 19th century, French copper mould. This is marked “TROTTIER FNT PARIS” over a number ’13’, which is the pattern number. It is made from a substantial gauge of copper, has a wired rim, and it dates from c.1880. The design consists of twelve columns which narrow half way up and it resembles a series of tongues. The mould is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
