Copper Mould with Engraved Crown

Code: H21004

SOLD

A nineteenth century, copper mould with a rope twist top above fluted sides. This is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. There are no manufacturers marks but it is well engraved with a large ‘L’ beneath a crown. There are also two other initials ‘J.V.’ and all of this would have related to previous owners. The style of the crown, in heraldry, is that of the younger son of a Baron or Duke.

It is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
