A good quality, 19th century copper mould with an extremely elaborate design to the top. This mould is unmarked and it dates from c.1870. It is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper. The design to the top is something like a Tudor rose, but with more petals, and it is very deeply moulded, with excellent detail. It would have been quite a complex design to make. There is very minor denting, consistent with use, but generally it is in excellent condition and the tinning, to the interior, is still in very good, usable condition. There is a small hole in the rim of the mould which, allows the mould to be hung, and it does display particularly well that way.
