A mid sized, 19th century, copper mould with a central pipe. This is made from a substantial gauge of copper and it dates from c.1890. The design is known as a penny top due to the overlapping circles on the top which resemble old copper pennies. This example has round topped, fluted columns to the sides. There is slight marking to the copper but otherwise it is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is quite dark but it is still good enough for occasional use.
