An attractive, and decorative, Victorian copper mould. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benham above the pattern number ’183’. To the opposite end is a circular workman’s mark. The design consists of six very angular columns with star shaped tops. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870.
Condition: There is a small repair to the top of the mould on the star shape at one end. The seam at that point has been brazed and soldered. This can be seen in a couple of the images.
