A nineteenth century, copper, fancy border mould. This is marked with a pattern number “522” but it doesn’t have any manufacturers marks. It is English and it dates from c.1880. It is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper and the rope twist design to the top is crisply modelled. This design displays particularly well when hanging. There is very slight denting to the sides, from use, but otherwise it is in good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn and the mould is no longer usable.
