A fabulous, 19th century, French copper mould. This has a sunflower type design to the top which is quite stunning. It is a shallow mould so it would display best on a wall as the sides are quite plain and fluted. It is well made, from a substantial gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1880. To the side it is stamped 'B.B.' and these would be the initials of a previous owner. It is in excellent condition but the tinning to the interior, is worn. This mould has been lacquered, so it will not tarnish. Usually we remove lacquer but as the lacquer was in good condition we have left it to see how our customers like it.
