A fabulous, large, two part copper mould in the shape of a swan. This would have been used for moulding nougat or chocolate. It is very well made, from quite a substantial gauge of copper, and it is English, dating from c.1880. The two parts lock together by means of a rim, on one side, which holds the other part and there are three small brass pins which locate through hinges. The swan is well moulded with exceptionally good detail. There have been very minor repairs to two of the hinges but other than that it is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is now quite dark. This is a rare mould and it is quite delightful.
