A Victorian copper, fancy border, ring mould dating from c.1880. There are a number of marks on the rim of this mould. It is stamped with what could be a manufacturers mark but it is now quite worn. You can make out 'MINT' as the start of the first word and under this it possibly has 'MAJESTIC'. Along side this is a large number '4'. To the opposite side it is engraved 'L.M'. These would have been the initials of a previous owner. The design consists of a wide band of wrythen , angular fluting above a plain base. This design looks very good when hanging. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it has a castellated seam up the inside. There are a couple of very tiny dents on the side of the mould but other than that it is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is slightly worn.
