A large, French copper mould with a quince to the top. This mould is marked with the number ‘240’, which would be the pattern number, and it dates from c.1880. The quince design to the top is very deeply moulded and well detailed and the mould is made from a substantial gauge of copper. There is very slight marking to the copper, on the rim of the mould, but other than that it is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn and it could not be used.
