A very unusual, 19th century French copper ring mould. The design of this mould works much better when hanging rather than sitting on a shelf, as the top displays a ring of heart shapes. It is an excellent quality mould being made from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1870. The side is stamped with the number “328” which would be a pattern number. It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, has worn through to the copper in numerous places. There is a small hole in the side where a hanging loop has been removed.
