An interesting shaped, nineteenth century, copper mould. This consists of a sponge finger design around a central, hexagonal pipe. The pipe allows for the contents to cook from the inside as well as the outside, if using the mould for baking. In this case, the shape of the pipe makes the mould particularly attractive if used in a hanging display. It made from a heavy gauge of copper, it is French and it dates from c.1870.
The mould is in excellent condition and the tinning, although slightly worn, could still be used.
