A large, 19th century copper mould. This is stamped with a pattern number “256”, above the letter ‘C’, but there are no manufacturers marks. It is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper. It is probably French and it dates from c.1870. The design is quite simple, with a stylised flower to the top above fluted sides. It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn and flakey.
Dimensions: Diameter 15.6cm. Height 16.7cm.
