A large, Victorian copper mould. This is stamped with the orb and cross symbol used by Benham’s above a pattern number “213 A”. To the opposite side is a workman’s mark in the shape of a Fleur de Lys. The mould is very well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1870. The design consists of six rounded topped, fluted columns above a scalloped base. It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
