A large, 19th century copper mould. Moulds of this size were generally used for baking cakes and other sweet desserts. This example is stamped with a pattern number “205”. It is made from a substantial gauge of copper and dates from c.1880. The design is fairly simple, consisting of two tiers of fluted columns, the top tier culminating at a central point.
It is in excellent condition and the tinning, to the interior, is still in good enough condition for the mould to be used.
