A large, 19th century copper mould. Moulds of this size were generally used for baking cakes and other sweet desserts. This example is stamped with a pattern number “406”. It is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper and dates from c.1880. The design consists of six, wide, scrolling columns.

There are slight dents to the sides of three of the columns but other than that it is in good condition and the tinning, to the interior, is still in good enough condition for the mould to be used.
