Large, Copper Pudding Mould

Large, Copper Pudding Mould

Code: H21054

SOLD

A  large, Victorian copper pipe mould. This is unmarked but it is well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1870. The design consists of two tiers, each with fourteen simple columns with rounded tops. This type of mould were known as pipe moulds due to the central pipe which allowed for more even baking when being used for cakes and baked or steamed puddings. There is very slight denting to some of the high points but otherwise it is in very good condition. The tinning is still good enough for the mould to be used.

Dimensions: Diameter 16cm. Height 11cm.
