A good quality, large, 19th century, French copper mould. This is marked, by the manufacturer, “CHAUDRONNERIE bPIFFAULT PARIS”. This manufacturer would have been a boiler maker who also made some kitchen equipment. It dates from c.1880. The design is quite simple, consisting of a wide, fluted top section above a plain base. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is still in good enough condition for it to be used.
Dimensions: Height 17.8cm. Diameter 15.5cm.
