A large, 19th century, French copper mould. This is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. The design consists of eight fluted columns which are divided by arches. The mould has been well used and has numerous small dents and marks to the copper. There is also an old soldered repair to the top of one of the columns and the tinning, to the interior, is worn and flaky. However, it is still an impressive size and very decorative.
Dimensions: Height 18.5cm. Diameter 17.5cm.
