A large, 19th century, oval copper fancy border mould. This is a lovely design, with eighteen rounded topped columns each with pointed topped centres. The mould is very well made, from a very heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams to the inside of the ring. There are no manufacturers marks but there is a very worn mark which looks like the remains of one of the Benham’s workman’s marks. It is English and dates from c.1870. It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
