A good quality, 19th century, English copper mould. This is marked with a pattern number “229”, it is well made from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1870. The design consists of an arched top section, above a wrythen central section and a plain base. This design was produced by Benhams and this mould would probably have been made by them although it does not bear their full mark.
It is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
