An unusual, 19th century, French copper ring mould. This is marked “TROTTIER FNT PARIS and it dates from c.1890. It is also stamped with a number ‘2’. The design would turn out a border which would resemble a series of tongues, so it would probably have been used as part of a savoury dish. It is made from a substantial gauge of copper and it dates from c.1890. It is in very good condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
