A two part copper nougat or ice mould which forms a comport for a table centrepiece. Each part is marked “TROTTIER PARIS FNT”. It is French and dates from c.1880. The copper has a slightly planished finish and small steel fittings have been attached to each piece so that it will hang. These have been fitted flush so that the piece can still be used. It would have been used for making a table centrepiece into which you would put your moulded ice creams in the shape of fruits and flowers. It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is slightly worn.
