A fabulous, two part copper mould in the shape of a swan. This is beautifully modelled and it is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper. It is English and it dates from c.1870. Originally this would have fitted together and there would have been clips to hold it in place. Now, the fittings have been removed, and it is slightly misshapen so it doesn’t fit together very well and it could no longer be used. It is, however, a lovely decorative piece. There are small holes where the fittings have been removed but otherwise it is in good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn.
Dimensions when the two parts are together : Length 24.5cm. Height 24cm. Depth 9.5cm.
